TAMPA, FL — Shumaker lawyer Sara S. Jawad’s outstanding reputation among peers helped land her on this year’s Tampa Club 40 under 40, recognizing exceptional business professionals, leaders, and innovators under the age of 40 in the Tampa Bay Business community. In order to receive an invitation, nominees are peer nominated and must be a member of The Tampa Club. In addition, they should demonstrate leadership and engagement in the Tampa Bay Community.
“I am honored to be recognized as a Tampa Club 40 under 40, and I am proud to give back to the Tampa Bay region of which I have grown up and reside,” said Sara. “Giving back to the community is an act of gratitude and one that I take very seriously. This award solidifies my commitment to strengthen our community for future generations.”
A Tampa native, Sara has a deep connection to the Tampa Bay region, feeding her desire to give back to the community, where she is a member of the Tampa Connection Class of 2023, the Hillsborough Association Women Lawyers, and the Hillsborough County Bar Association. In addition, Sara sits on the Host Committee for Equality Florida’s annual Tampa Bay Gala. Sara has also performed pro bono work at St. Michael’s Legal Center, a nonprofit legal-aid organization in Riverview, where she provided representation to low income clients.
A member of Shumaker’s Litigation and Disputes Service Line, Sara works with clients to balance their needs with the available remedies necessary to arrive at realistic and sustainable goals. She focuses her practice on advising board members and professional managers of condominium and homeowners’ associations in collection and foreclosure cases, covenant enforcement, and bankruptcy and creditors’ rights.
An award ceremony to celebrate the 2023 40 under 40 winners will be held on Tuesday, September 19th from 6:00 pm – 9:00 am at the Top of Tampa.
