TAMPA, FL — Shumaker Partner Andrew J. Mayts has been appointed to the prestigious MacDill Support Council, further strengthening his role as an advocate for MacDill Air Force Base (AFB) and the broader military community. Andy was personally invited to join the council by Col. Ed Szczepanik, underscoring his longstanding commitment to supporting MacDill and its mission.

The MacDill Support Council, established by the 6th Air Refueling Wing, serves as a forum to foster connections between MacDill AFB and the Greater Tampa Bay community, providing opportunities for collaboration, dialogue, and friendship. Council members are a select group of trusted civic leaders who have previously served as Honorary Commanders and have demonstrated a sustained commitment to the base and the Air Force’s mission. Through this council, Andy and other community leaders will help bolster public support for MacDill and the vital work of the 6th Air Refueling Wing.

Andy’s dedication to serving the military community is also marked by his role as Legal Counsel for the U.S. Special Operations Memorial Foundation Board of Directors.

His involvement in the MacDill Support Council reaffirms his commitment to fostering a deep and enduring connection between MacDill AFB and the Tampa Bay region.
