A member of Shumaker’s Health Law Service Line, Aerin is a well-rounded attorney with experience in multiple areas of law.
Aerin’s health law experience includes:
- Advising health care providers on vendor contracting, state licensure, reimbursement, and professional services arrangements.
- Reviewing and negotiating provider employment agreements, with significant experience advising on physician compensation models for both hospital-based and ambulatory specialties
- Counseling clients on regulatory compliance matters, including the Stark Law and the Anti-Kickback Statute
- Supporting health care transactions and corporate governance matters, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and entity formation and structuring
Prior to joining the firm, Aerin interned with the Lucas County Common Pleas Court and was a summer associate at Shumaker for two consecutive years. He played soccer at the University of Cincinnati and currently coaches high school basketball in Toledo. In his free time, Aerin enjoys spending time with his fiancé and family, coaching basketball, cooking, boating, and traveling.
