Anna E. Rowland

A member of Shumaker's Real Estate, Construction & Development Service Line, Anna centers her practice around commercial leasing. She brings substantial experience in all areas of commercial real estate and a practical, client-focused approach to handling these matters.

Anna practiced commercial real estate at another Toledo-area firm before joining Shumaker, gaining a broad understanding of industry trends and opportunities in this region that she leverages for clients today. In addition, she is well versed in tax law, having previously interned for the Ohio Department of Taxation and served as a Student Attorney for the Toledo Tax Controversy Clinic.

A proud alumna of The University of Toledo College of Law, Anna graduated magna cum laude, was elected to the Order of the Coif, and was a Leadership Scholar. While in law school, she served as the Managing Editor of The University of Toledo Law Review and authored an article titled "Demystifying the Acronyms: Ohio's Commercial Activity Tax ("CAT") and the Tax Credit for Qualified Research Expenses ("QRE")." Anna also holds a B.A. in History, with honors, from The University of Toledo.

Anna maintains an active lifestyle outside the office and enjoys playing golf, traveling, and powerlifting.
