Ashley N. Maddox

Paralegal

An experienced paralegal, Ashley serves as Shumaker's Bridges Program Administrator. She dedicates her practice to coordinating Bridges hearings in all 88 Ohio counties and cultivating external relationships with Bridges providers and juvenile courts, ensuring this program runs smoothly and effectively for the young adults who rely on its services.

The Bridges program empowers young adults aged 18-21 who have aged out of the foster care system to pursue independence in adulthood. Administered through a public-private partnership between the Child & Family Health Collaborative of Ohio and the Ohio Department of Children and Youth, this program partners with agencies across the state to provide housing and other support services to eligible young adults. Ashley has managed over 1,200 Bridges cases throughout the course of her career, serving as a critical resource for this program and the young adults it serves.

In her free time, Ashley enjoys crafting with embroidery and working in her garden.
