With over two decades of experience practicing intellectual property (IP) law, Brandon focuses on all aspects of patents— from preparation, patentability, and freedom to practice analysis to licensing and prosecution. Clients value his wide range of experience and background in mechanical engineering as he deftly guides them through each stage of the patent process.
Brandon has handled hundreds of patent applications since he began practicing law, working closely with clients of all sizes, from individuals and small businesses to Fortune 50 corporations, to ensure their valuable IP is properly protected. Over the course of his career, Brandon has worked with a broad array of technologies, including additive manufacturing, aircraft seating and engines, all-terrain vehicles, archery equipment, computer software, consumer products, electrical equipment, internal combustion engines, marine drive systems, piping and valving, power generation and distribution, and sports equipment.
A proud alumnus of West Virginia University, Brandon earned his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the institution, and he received his J.D. from West Virginia University College of Law. Before attending law school, Brandon worked as an engineer for an engineering, architectural, and management services firm at on-site refineries.
Outside of work, Brandon, who is a semi-retired coach, enjoys sitting on the sideline with his wonderful wife while watching their daughter play travel softball throughout the country.
