With more than decade's worth of government affairs and business development experience, Gino oversees and drives the work of the Shumaker Advisors team, serving as a consultant and thought partner to the Chief Executive Officer. Gino's overarching role is to strategically delegate authority, empowering team members to do their jobs well while increasing the lines of communication and productivity.
Gino's broad experience in business and public service allows him to lead teams and manage projects, guaranteeing on-time and on-budget delivery for each project. His experience includes:
- Serving as Vice President of Business Development at CopyPress, a content marketing firm based in Tampa.
- Working with community business leaders and elected officials at the local, state, and federal levels
- Contributing to the community as an active volunteer for organizations such as the Tampa Chamber of Commerce, Connections Job Development, and Big Brothers Big Sisters
With an undergraduate degree in political science from Yale University, Gino began his career in government as a legislative aide for a top Florida state senator before going on to serve as a lobbyist and then senior director, overseeing the development and operations of outpatient service lines for the West Florida Division of AdventHealth, the largest nonprofit Protestant health care system in the nation. Gino also earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of South Florida in 2020.
Gino resides in Wesley Chapel with his family and two dogs. He enjoys traveling, and his family and friends greatly benefit from his favorite hobby, cooking.
