Jodi L. Bosak

Director of Attorney Recruitment

As Director of Attorney Recruitment, Jodi oversees Shumaker's firmwide strategy for attorney recruitment and retention. In this role, she designs and implements workflows to prioritize, identify, offer, and integrate attorneys into the firm and also leads the Attorney Development Program. With a wide breadth of experience in recruiting and collaborating with law firm leadership teams, Jodi will position Shumaker to compete for top talent in highly competitive markets.

Prior to joining Shumaker, Jodi spent 18 years with two Ohio AmLaw 200 firms, where she was responsible for all aspects of recruiting law students, lateral attorneys, and paralegals; managing summer associate programs and on-campus interviews; attorney and paralegal onboarding; and the annual evaluations and corresponding compensation-setting process for non-partner attorneys and paralegals.

Jodi earned her J.D. from The University of Akron School of Law and her bachelor’s degree from Baldwin-Wallace College.  She was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 2004 and began her legal career clerking for the Summit County Probate Court and Ohio's Ninth District Court of Appeals.

Outside of work, Jodi enjoys baking for her friends and family, traveling (especially to any beach), reading, and taking advantage of Cleveland's vibrant arts and sports offerings.  She is a lifelong baseball fan and is on a mission to attend a game in every Major League Baseball park.
