A Tribute to John MacKay
Shumaker mourns the loss of our valued colleague, John N. MacKay, who passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at the age of 78.
John joined Shumaker’s Toledo office on August 5, 1975. He had a wonderful legal career, primarily focusing on commercial transactions and litigation, creditor – debtor rights, consumer law, and legal ethics. John had many hobbies and was an amazing conversationalist. He attended the University of Oklahoma and received his J.D., summa cum laude, from The Ohio State University.
John is survived by his wife, Cindy Rerucha, a former Shumaker partner, his three sons and one daughter.
John will be deeply missed.
