A paralegal in Shumaker's Labor & Employment Service Line, Krystal assists with all aspects of immigration law, including applications for non-immigrant visa petitions, employment-based and family-based immigrant visa petitions, and I-9 compliance for employers.
Prior to joining Shumaker in 2012, Krystal was a department head and senior paralegal who oversaw the pre-filing department at a consumer bankruptcy firm. Prior to transitioning to immigration legal services, she focused on business bankruptcy litigation matters, including assisting business entities litigating disputes in bankruptcy court, both throughout the United States and overseas, and representation of:
- Creditors
- Investors
- Distressed debt lenders
- Trustees
- Committees
Krystal is a member of Shumaker's "Take Action" Wellness Committee, where she collaborates with colleagues to encourage employees' professional and personal productivity and overall well-being.
Away from the office, Krystal enjoys spending time with her son and family and loves the outdoors, camping, fishing, and traveling. Krystal has a passion for sports and enjoys watching her son play competitive sports throughout the year, especially baseball.
