Michele L. Lawson

Senior Counsel

Michele is a patent attorney with extensive experience across a broad range of technologies and with a depth of experience in the life sciences sector. As a member of the firm's Intellectual Property Service Line, she specializes in patent preparation and prosecution as well as opinion work and client counseling. Michele has worked with major research institutions and organizations, providing strategic patent counsel and comprehensive intellectual property (IP) services in complex scientific fields.

Michele concentrates her practice in biotechnology and has successfully prosecuted hundreds of patents through issuance. Her experience includes IP guidance in:

  • Biotechnology and life sciences
  • Pharmaceuticals, therapeutics, and vaccines
  • Biological diagnostics and assays
  • Advanced delivery systems
  • Medical devices

In her spare time, Michele is an avid traveler, visiting over 30 countries with many more on her list. Her favorite was an African safari that included great white shark cage diving. Michele also loves animals, hiking, and cheering for the Florida Gators.
