Natalia Augustine

Associate

Natalia is a member of a specialized team of Shumaker attorneys who represent clients in financial services business litigation.

Prior to attending law school, she worked in the wealth management department of Canada's largest financial institution, focusing on the banking needs of ultra-high-net-worth individuals. This industry experience provides Natalia with a nuanced understanding of complex financial matters, enabling her to navigate business litigation with insight and precision.

Born and raised in Montreal, Canada, Natalia earned her undergraduate degree at McGill University, where she majored in finance and fostered a passion for financial advocacy. She pursued that interest by attending law school at Stetson University College of Law, where she was the Symposium Editor of the Stetson Business Law Review. During law school, Natalia received the book award for Bankruptcy Law, as well as the American Bankruptcy Institute Medal Award for Excellence in Bankruptcy Studies.

Now a Florida resident, Natalia enjoys the sunny beaches, especially after spending years growing up in Canadian winters, although she still misses playing hockey and ringette.
