Richard T. Sommers

Richard is a commercial litigator and construction law attorney who helps businesses and individuals navigate complex disputes and high-stakes transactions. He advises and represents clients across a range of industries, including construction and marine, with a focus on practical, results-driven solutions.

Richard has had the privilege of guiding individuals and businesses through all phases of litigation, including trial and appellate representation. Having represented parties on both sides of disputes, from large corporations to small businesses, he strives to bring a well-rounded perspective and careful attention to detail to every matter he handles. Richard has also handled eight-figure transactions for clients in the construction industry, giving him firsthand insight into the complexities and pressures they face.

While attending Florida State University College of Law, Richard clerked for Justice C. Alan Lawson of the Florida Supreme Court, where he honed his legal analysis and helped establish the Florida Supreme Court Fellows Program to expand internship access for law students with financial needs.

Outside work, Richard loves to travel, play golf with his friends, and spend time with his family.
