Lauren is a member of the Litigation & Disputes Service Line. Prior to joining Shumaker, she worked in political fundraising on behalf of members of the Ohio House of Representatives and assisted in the reelection of the Ohio Chief Justice, developing deep relationships with public and private sector leaders at the state and local levels of government, as well as with an array of different business and industry leaders. She has extensive experience in campaign finance law, state laws regarding lobbying, political action campaign formation, ballot initiatives, and other related topics.
Lauren works with clients to:
- Monitor and analyze proposed legislation, trends, and emerging issues to determine potential impacts
- Maintain effective communication and collaboration with industry groups and organizations to support coalitions and drive policy objectives
Outside the office, Lauren enjoys traveling, watching sports, and spending time with friends and family, especially her sisters.
