She joined Shumaker in 2014 and was responsible for assisting with complex medical device patent litigation, general litigation, and administrative proceedings, among other matters. She has also served as the lead paralegal on two federal patent infringement trials with substantial verdicts in favor of the client in both cases.

  • Insurance defense
  • Subrogation
  • Investigating insurance fraud

Jennifer has extensive experience, having worked in-house at a leading national insurance carrier assisting with subrogation matters in Georgia and Florida and working with the Special Investigations Unit (SIU), investigating insurance fraud while assisting the state attorney's office with prosecuting those claims. In addition, she was a litigation department manager at a respected personal injury firm where she was responsible for claims valued at more than $500,000 and supervised a team of paralegals and assistants.

Working with Leadership Shumaker, Jennifer is part of a program that involves the firm’s attorneys and staff members in numerous civic and fundraising events that benefit not-for-profit charitable and arts organizations.

Spending time with her husband and two children is where Jennifer can be found when not at work.
