Stanley brings a dynamic approach to government affairs and public policy to his role at Shumaker Advisors. As the former Director of Community Engagement for Columbus City Council, Stanley's leadership skills have been instrumental in shaping transformative initiatives that will make a difference in the community for decades to come.
Stanley's commitment to social change is informed by his academic background, holding a Master of Arts in Education Policy from The Ohio State University and a bachelor's degree in political science from Howard University. In more than six years working for the City of Columbus, Stanley led and championed initiatives such as:
- Spearheading Columbus City Council's zoning reform outreach strategy, which mobilized thousands of residents to actively participate in the city's equitable growth planning
- Providing high school seniors with accessible pathways to higher education through Columbus Promise
- Developing comprehensive housing agendas that earned national recognition for promoting diversity and equity
Outside of work, Stanley is actively involved in his community, serving on multiple boards. In his free time, he enjoys traveling the world and spending time with family and friends.
