Mark has extensive experience in environmental law, litigation, and administrative law. Having worked with businesses in a wide range of industries, he offers clients a unique perspective to their legal needs.
Partnering closely with his clients, Mark brings a strategic approach to his practice and helps clients put their legal questions in context to develop comprehensive and sensible resolutions. He advises clients on various environmental, health, and safety matters, including:
- Compliance with solid and hazardous waste requirements
- Underground storage tank laws and regulations
- Permitting
- Wetlands
- Remediation projects
Mark has significant experience in commercial real estate transactions involving environmental issues, and has managed environmental aspects of complex multi-site projects, including general due diligence, team oversight, and the commission, review, and comment on Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessment reports. He also advises clients on mitigating or avoiding environmental risks associated with commercial business and real estate matters, and on contractual agreements relating to oil and gas leases. Mark also represents clients regarding Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) compliance, zoning, board of elections, and other administrative matters.
Mark also represents clients in commercial matters involving mechanic’s liens, collections, garnishments, and related litigation. He is admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit and United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio.
