A Tribute to Moses Luski
Shumaker mourns the loss of our valued colleague, Moses Luski, who passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at the age of 71.
Moses joined Shumaker's Charlotte office on January 1, 1997 and was a member of the firms Real Estate, Construction and Development and Corporate, Tax and Transactions Service Lines. He was a skilled and talented lawyer and mentor.
Moses enjoyed helping charitable organizations with their real estate needs on a pro bono basis, including closing the headquarters buildings of Opera Carolina and the local Make-A-Wish chapter, as well as assisting Habitat for Humanity, Charlotte Region the and Charlotte Ballet with their real estate needs.
With his parents as an example, Moses has long advocated for the visual arts in the Charlotte Region, including donating artwork to the Sonia and Isaac Luski Gallery at The Foundation For the Carolinas and establishing The Moses Luski Contemporary Collection at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
Moses will be deeply missed.
