Seth is a member of Shumaker's Real Estate, Construction & Development Service Line, where he takes a business-focused, yet creative, approach to helping clients navigate the legal complexities of the real estate market. In his practice, he handles real estate acquisitions and dispositions, leasing matters, development agreements, and related due diligence.
With diverse experience across the real estate industry, Seth has represented national clients in drafting and negotiating purchases, dispositions, leases, amendments, easement agreements, estoppels, and Subordination, Non-Disturbance, and Attornment Agreements (SNDAs); led due diligence review, including title and survey review; and coordinated and managed closings.
Seth was driven to study law after witnessing many important meetings and business decisions on his family farm and connecting particularly with meetings involving attorneys. He appreciated the role the attorneys played in helping the farm grow and develop a business structure while also protecting its interests for future generations, and he finds providing similar counsel to his own clients very rewarding.
He earned his J.D. from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law and a B.A. in Financial Economics and Marketing from Capital University.
Outside of work, Seth enjoys playing golf; exploring new restaurants and coffee shops; exploring new national parks; keeping up with his high-energy Aussiedoodle, Maverick; and being humbled by his nieces and nephews.
