James D. O'Donnell Elected to Forty Carrots Family Center Board of Directors

SARASOTA, FL — Shumaker Partner James D. O'Donnell has been elected to the Forty Carrots Family Center's (Forty Carrots) Board of Directors for a three-year term beginning June 1, 2026.

Forty Carrots empowers Sarasota families by providing accredited preschool and parenting classes, as well as child and family therapy programs. Guided by its vision that all parents will provide their children with emotionally and physically safe experiences and environments, Forty Carrots works to help children grow into capable and caring young people.

"I am honored to join the Board of Directors for Forty Carrots," said James. "The organization's mission of supporting children and families through education, counseling, and community resources is incredibly important, and I look forward to contributing to its continued impact in Sarasota."

James is a litigator who focuses his practice on complex business litigation, representing businesses, business owners, and shareholders in high-stakes disputes through all stages of litigation. He works closely with clients to develop litigation strategies that protect their long-term operational and financial interests.

In addition to his legal practice, James is passionate about supporting the well-being of children and families throughout the Sarasota community. He also previously served on the Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Sun Coast Sarasota Community Board of Directors for several years.
