CHARLOTTE, NC - Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP, is pleased to announce that in the fall of 2014, Moses Luski, Commercial Real Estate Partner in the Charlotte office, together with his paralegal, Melanie DeGennaro, represented Opera Carolina, pro bono, with respect to the acquisition of its new headquarters.  The new headquarters is in a historic home in Charlotte, NC’s Elizabeth neighborhood.  With this acquisition, Opera Carolina becomes one of the few, if not the only opera company in the country, to own its own headquarters.  Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP, has been an active patron of both Opera Carolina and the Toledo Opera.  The director of Opera Carolina, James Meena, formerly directed the Toledo Opera.  Opera Carolina and the Toledo Opera have an ongoing cooperative relationship.  Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP, is pleased to support the important cultural work of both Opera Carolina and the Toledo Opera.
