The law firm of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP is pleased to announce that Charlotte associate Steven Allen Bimbo has been appointed by the Carolinas AGC (CAGC) Board of Directors to serve as the Vice Chair of the Supplier/Service Division.

CAGC is the leading construction trade association for general contractors and construction-related firms that perform construction work in North Carolina and South Carolina.  CAGC is a chapter of the AGC of America and the American Road & Transportation Builders Association. 

Steven is an associate in Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick’s Charlotte office and a member of the firm’s construction litigation practice group.  Steven’s practice focuses on representing general contractors, owners, developers, subcontractors, vendors, and sureties at every stage of a construction project, including pre-construction, licensing, preparation of contract documents, bid preparation, bid mistakes, bid protests, change order negotiations, project correspondence, claim preparation, defense and prosecution of claims, termination, project close-out, and final dispute resolution through negotiation, mediation, arbitration, and litigation.

Steven received his B.A. degree in Political Science, Concentration Law & Justice from North Carolina State University where he was a Russell Roebuck Scholar and received his law degree in 2009 from Charlotte School of Law graduating magna cum laude and as an inductee to the Order of the Crown.  He served as Editor-in-Chief of the Charlotte Law Review, and, during law school, Steven clerked for Judge Sanford L. Steelman, Jr., of the North Carolina Court of Appeals.
