TOLEDO, OH – The law firm of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP is pleased to announce that J. Douglas Miller was reappointed by the Wood County Commissioners to serve on the Northwestern Water & Sewer District (NWWSD) Board of Trustees for a three-year term. Doug was also reappointed by the Commissioners to serve on the Board of the Rossford, Ohio Transportation Improvement District (RTID) for a two-year term.
The NWWSD is a regional water and sewer district chartered under Section 6119 of the Ohio Revised Code that oversees the water and sewer operations in 19 townships in Wood County, Ohio, part of Scott Township in Sandusky County, Ohio, and 13 municipalities including the Village of McComb in Hancock County, Ohio. The RTID was created to acquire, construct, enlarge, improve, equip, sell, lease, lease-purchase, exchange, or otherwise dispose of property, structures, and other facilities for transportation projects in and around the City of Rossford.
Doug is a partner in the Toledo office and is co-chair of the firm’s Intellectual Property practice group. He is a registered professional engineer and registered patent attorney licensed in the State of Ohio and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
