SARASOTA, FL – The law firm of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP, is pleased to announce that Sarasota partner, Adria M. Jensen, has joined the Sarasota County Bar Association’s Board of Directors. Adria was asked to fill the vacancy left by Margaret Good who was elected to the Florida House of Representatives. She will complete the remaining year of Margaret’s term and be eligible for a second term.  

The Sarasota County Bar Association (SCBA) is a voluntary association of lawyers and judges who practice law and administer the judicial system in Sarasota County. Incorporated on January 20, 1960, the SCBA has existed as an association since 1926. The affairs of the SCBA are managed by its officers and Board of Directors with the assistance of a full-time Executive Director. Their mission is to advance professionalism, promote practice development, encourage public service, fellowship and support access to legal services for all.

Adria is a partner in Shumaker’s Sarasota office.  Her practice focuses on advising, counseling and representing clients on a wide array of general business and real estate matters. She regularly assists corporate and individual clients with contract negotiations, contract disputes and enforcement of landlord/tenant and creditor rights.  Adria has extensive experience with foreclosures and REO disputes.  As a Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil Mediator, she endeavors to bridge the gap between complex disputes and practical solutions. Adria received her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Florida, Levin College of Law, and her B.A., with honors, from the University of Miami.
