TAMPA, FL – Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP is pleased to announce that Tampa partner Steven M. Berman will be teaching at the University of Florida’s Levin College of Law on Friday, February 8, 2019 in the Advanced Problems in Bankruptcy and Debtor-Creditor Law course. The objective of the course is to give students a grounding in bankruptcy processes, a strengthened appreciation of the philosophical and policy-based underpinnings of bankruptcy, and a deepened understanding of selected aspects of bankruptcy practice.
Steve has focused his practice as a business bankruptcy litigator representing creditors, distressed debt lenders, trustees, committees and business entities litigating disputes in bankruptcy court. Steve is board certified by the American Board of Certification in both creditors' rights law and business bankruptcy law and is a member of the Florida, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and California Bars.
