TAMPA, FLA - Shumaker Advisors Florida, LLC announces the addition of new strategic team members Amy Maguire, Mike Hamby and Madeline Sullivan who have joined Shumaker Advisors serving clients on the local, state, and federal levels. With over twenty years of advocacy, Amy Maguire specializes in corporate philanthropy, strategic business development, and corporate communications. Amy’s diverse experience spans across for profit and not-for-profit companies. Amy began her career in mergers and acquisitions with Fifth Third Bank then transitioned to a government and community relations career at Orlando Health. Amy led the Florida Trauma Alliance and crafted policy to protect and fund trauma centers. As the managing partner for a well-respected governmental affairs firm, Amy represented a diverse group of clients across all industries on the local, state, and federal levels of government. Continuing her advocacy in the corporate world, Amy was a Vice President at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital and Coca-Cola Beverages Florida.
Mike brings over 30 years of experience in both the political and public affairs arenas, representing a broad range of national and state clients from non-profits to the nation’s most respected organizations. Mike’s expertise as a communications and political strategist has been engaged by numerous candidates and political campaigns at the national, state, and local levels. Mike has also led numerous statewide and local issue referendums. Most recently Mike was a key lead strategist for the successful Strengthen Our Schools Referendum in Hillsborough County. Mike served as Staff Counsel to former US Senator Howell Heflin, and as Special Counsel to the Democratic National Committee, and as Counsel to the Standing Committees to five Democratic National Conventions. He also served as the Executive Director of the Florida Democratic Party.
A graduate of the University of South Florida, Madeleine Sullivan serves as Policy and Communications Manager. She complements the team with her communications expertise as she develops and implements communications strategies.
