TAMPA, FL – Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP is pleased to announce that Matthew A. Ceriale has joined the firm’s Litigation practice group as an associate in the Tampa office.
Matthew focuses on commercial real estate, intellectual property, international and domestic arbitration, and post-judgment enforcement matters.
Prior to graduating, Matthew interned in multiple settings, including Sedgwick’s in-house counsel department, the Honorable Susan C. Bucklew’s chambers, and at Shumaker's Tampa office, which together exposed him to the legal and practical considerations that arise everywhere from a concerned board room to entry of final judgment. As an international competitor with Stetson Law in arbitration-based competitions, Matthew has also gained a working knowledge of many international institution’s arbitration rules, including the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), American Arbitration Association (AAA), Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC), International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), and London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA). Matthew’s knowledge enables him to quickly comprehend the complex legal issues a client might face and has also allowed him to confidently represent client interests and receive multiple accolades for his skills in advocacy while in law school, including the Victor O. Wehle Award for excellence in trial advocacy, E. Harris Drew Memorial Award for written and oral advocacy, and recognition as best advocate in multiple arbitration-focused competitions.
