CHARLOTTE, NC – A longtime supporter of Charlotte’s Latino community, Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP Partner Jack Santaniello has been named ‘Businessman of the Year’ in La Noticia’s Latin American Excelente Awards for 2020. “It has been a privilege watching the Charlotte community grow and the Charlotte Latino community thrive, and an honor to have participated in that advancement in various ways over the past 30+ years,” Jack said.
The winners of the Latin American Excelente Awards are men and women who are outstanding in business, community service, and academic performances. Proceeds from the Excelente Awards Gala benefit the scholarship fund of La Noticia Education Foundation. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, this year’s gala will be held virtually via Zoom on September 19, 2020, from 7p.m. to 9p.m. You can find more information and sign up to watch here. La Noticia is a publishing company headquartered in Charlotte that has been serving the Latino community in North Carolina for more than 23 years. This is the 22nd Annual Excelente Awards.
Jack has over 20 years of experience in representing companies and their owners in a wide variety of business activities, including transaction negotiations, corporate formation and dissolution, contract review, ownership transfers and disputes, management buyouts, equity succession transfers, and business and commercial litigation. His involvement in the community is readily apparent through his participation on various nonprofit boards, with various community organizations, and more personal activities, such as youth sports coaching and as a Sunday School teacher for many years.
