Daniel DeLeo Elected to the Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors

SARASOTA, FL – Sarasota Partner, Daniel J. DeLeo, was elected to the Board of Directors for the Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce (“Chamber”) for the 2020-2021 term. 

The Chamber, established in 1921, is a not-for-profit organization that works to cultivate Sarasota's prosperity and quality of life through their member businesses, and its objective is to maximize their members' success, the community's competitiveness, and the area's economic strength.

“Shumaker has been a longstanding supporter and Chamber member since 1990. We are excited that Dan is on the Board to help shape and strengthen our local community,” said Jennifer Compton, Sarasota Managing Partner and Management Committee Member, and past Chamber Board member. 

Board certified in Business Litigation by The Florida Bar, Dan is known as a problem-solver to his clients which include some of the largest private and public entities in Sarasota County. Dan is involved in the Sarasota community and is a member of numerous organizations, serving as Vice Chair of the Community Foundation of Sarasota County, Board Member for the Economic Development Corporation of Sarasota County, Board Member of Sarasota Crew, member of the Advisory Boards of Forty Carrots Family Center and the Conservation Foundation of the Gulf Coast, and was also the past chairman of that organization. As a member of numerous education committees including the Financial Advisory Committee for the School Board of Sarasota County and as the President of Citizens for Better Schools, Dan has been a leader in education, including leading the county school tax campaign over the last 10 years.
