Amy Maguire Named Executive Vice President of State and Local Affairs for Shumaker Advisors Florida

TAMPA, FL – After serving as Principal of Shumaker Advisors Florida for two years, the firm announced the elevation of Amy Maguire to Executive Vice President of State and Local Affairs, where she will continue to lead Florida’s state lobbying and advocacy practice, representing clients in front of the executive and legislative branches of state government. 

“Amy is a powerhouse, dedicated to serving our clients and making a positive impact in our community,” said Shumaker Advisors, Florida President and CEO Ron Christaldi. “She is an extraordinary leader and we are pleased to elevate her to Executive Vice President of State and Local Affairs.”

Amy navigates the policy and budget waters and advises clients from many sectors, including but not limited to health care, environment, technology, education, and economic and social impact. With over 20 years of experience in public affairs on the local, state, and federal level, Amy serves businesses throughout the 10-county Tampa Bay region representing them in front of City and County governments. 

Amy is passionate about economic impact and she is committed to educating tomorrow’s workforce. Her volunteer time is spent on early learning and serving those with the highest need in food and housing insecurity. She volunteers at Metropolitan Ministries, specifically with middle school teens. Amy serves on the boards of St. Pete Free Clinic, LiFT Academy, and St. Pete Chamber Policy Committee. In addition, Amy previously served in leadership roles on the boards of: YMCA of the Suncoast, Religious Community Services, Harbor House, Dr. Phillips Foundation, SPCA, Feeding Tampa Bay, Swim Across America, and Metropolitan Ministries. She also co-founded and chaired the St. Pete Innovation District.

Amy speaks to women’s groups nationally and published her first book in 2018.
