Shumaker Grows in Pasco County by Hiring Attorneys Danny Burgess and Matthew Maggard

TAMPA, FL - Shumaker is enhancing its legal division and growing its presence in Pasco County by adding two prominent local attorneys to its team. Attorneys Danny Burgess and Matthew Maggard are joining the firm to help expand Shumaker’s reach in Tampa Bay and beyond.

“Danny and Matthew are respected leaders, with strong ties in Pasco County. Adding them to the firm will allow Shumaker to serve new clients and continue its exciting growth,” Ron Christaldi, Shumaker’s Tampa Managing Partner and President/CEO of Shumaker Advisors Florida, said.

Danny’s experience in law and his community will help Shumaker clients advance strategic goals and achieve measures to make a difference within their organizations. Danny has a keen understanding of the needs of his clients through his past service in both local and state government. Through all of this, he has continued to serve his country in the United States Army Reserve.

Matthew has an extensive background in local government and has practiced a wide variety of Florida Law for private clients. As the Zephyrhills City Attorney, he has provided legal counsel to the mayor, city council, and staff, while also representing the city in litigation, real estate, code, and contract related matters.

“After working in both private practice and city government, I know how to guide clients through the intersection of law, politics, and government to achieve the results they want to see,” Matthew said.

Danny and Matthew have been working together at their firm, Maggard & Burgess, P.A. in Dade City. Danny is a graduate of the University of South Florida and Barry University School of Law. Matthew graduated from the University of Florida and Florida Coastal School of Law.

The duo will join Shumaker’s new Dade City office. Shumaker's Tampa office, since opening in 1985, has experienced dramatic growth. The office provides a full range of services to businesses, individuals, and estates throughout the United States and internationally with emphasis on representation of publicly held companies and other growth enterprises.
