CHARLESTON, SC – Charleston Partner and Litigation and Disputes Regional Service Line Leader J. Bennett Crites, III has been selected for inclusion to the 2022 South Carolina Super Lawyers list. This is the 11th consecutive year that Bennett has been recognized.
Each year, no more than five percent of the lawyers in the state are selected by the research team at Super Lawyers to receive this honor. Super Lawyers, a Thomson Reuters business, is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The selections are made using a multiphase process involving a statewide survey of lawyers, independent research, and peer evaluation, resulting in a credible, comprehensive, and diverse listing of outstanding attorneys.
In practice for 19 years, Bennett is a litigator advising businesses and individuals on complex legal issues. His diverse practice focuses on health care law and professional liability defense of doctors, nurses, and health care institutions, transportation and commercial trucking law, products liability, retail and hospitality, and commercial litigation. Bennett litigates civil cases in a variety of shapes and sizes. His personal injury defense work routinely involves wrongful death and catastrophic injury cases, while his commercial litigation cases involve high-value business and shareholder disputes.
Bennett is also a Circuit Court Mediator and Arbitrator in the State of South Carolina.
