John H. Burson Appointed to Great Lakes Historical Society/National Museum of the Great Lakes Board

TOLEDO, OH – Shumaker Partner John H. Burson was elected to the Great Lakes Historical Society (GLHS)/National Museum of the Great Lakes (NMGL) Board of Directors. The GLHS is a nonpartisan, private, nonprofit, educational organization and its mission is to preserve and make known the history of the Great Lakes. 

John is a partner in the Toledo office and is certified as an Accredited Estate Planner. His principal areas of practice are estate planning, corporate, and taxation law. John is a member of the Toledo and Ohio State Bar Associations and is a Fellow of The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel. He is also a Trustee Emeritus of the University of Findlay, a Retired Captain in the United States Naval Reserve Judge Advocate General's Corp., and former President of the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils.
