Celebrating 15 and 20 Years of Excellence: Florida Bar Board-Certified Health Lawyers Highlight Importance of Certification in an Expanding Health Care Landscape

TAMPA, FL — In a state where health care is rapidly expanding, only a select few individuals possess the prestigious title of Florida Bar Board-Certified Health Lawyer. Today, we celebrate the remarkable achievements of Shumaker Partner Grant P. Dearborn, who marks an exceptional milestone of 15 years, and Shumaker’s Tampa Managing Partner Ronald A. Christaldi, who celebrates 20 years in this esteemed role. With Florida witnessing significant growth in its health care industry, the importance of board certification becomes increasingly paramount.

“Health care is currently one of the most regulated industries, and a purely technical error can end the financial viability of a company. I utilize my knowledge and experience in this field to enable my colleagues and clients to maximize returns within the confines of the law. I enjoy working with health care clients in all settings to achieve regulatory compliance while meeting all of their operational goals,” Grant said.

Grant and Ron have been at the forefront of health law, navigating the complex and evolving legal landscape with unwavering skill. They are two of the few among a total of just 127 certified individuals dedicated and committed to upholding the highest standards of legal practice and playing an instrumental role in shaping health care policies in Florida.

"Twenty years as a Florida Bar Board-Certified Health Lawyer have been an incredible journey, marked by unwavering dedication and a relentless pursuit of excellence. With each passing year, my commitment to advocating for health care rights and navigating the complexities of this dynamic field has only grown stronger. I look forward to continuing to make a positive impact for years to come," said Ron.

The certification as a Florida Bar Board-Certified Health Lawyer is a rigorous process, requiring extensive experience, specialized knowledge, and a proven track record of success in the health care legal arena.
