Client Alert: Federal Legislative and Regulatory Alert 07.12.2024 Ryan P. Walker Jason M. Ouimet Chris Salemme Download Client Alert: Federal Legislative and Regulatory Alert The spring Unified Agenda, which by law was supposed to be released by the Biden Administration in April, was made public on July 5th and lists the current regulatory agenda for all federal agencies. With most of the administration’s first-term regulatory initiatives already in place, the next round of big regulations from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and other agencies won’t be released until after the election. In response to the Supreme Court of the United States’ decision regarding Chevron deference, House Republican Committee Chairs wrote to more than two dozen federal agencies yesterday, including Health and Human Services, Department of Justice, EPA, Department of Labor, Department of Energy, Education, and Department of Homeland Security. Republicans want these agencies to provide a list of rules and adjudications that could be impacted by the decision if challenged and a list of pending challenges, as well as all pending rules and adjudications that could have been eligible for Chevron deference before the decision.
