Allison I. Gilbert

A member of the Benefits Service Line, Allie counsels clients through the intricacies of employee benefits, health and welfare, and single and multiemployer retirement plans, leveraging her eye for detail and diverse professional experience.

During law school, she held a number of intern and extern positions that continue to shape her practice, including the following:

  • Summer associate at Legal Aid of Western Ohio in its Support and Independence for Survivors Group
  • Legal extern for the Honorable Judge Jack Zouhary in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio
  • Summer associate in Shumaker's Toledo office
  • Legal extern at Dana Incorporated

Allie earned her J.D. from The University of Toledo College of Law, where she was the valedictorian of her class and served as Editor-in-Chief of The Toledo Law Review. Prior to attending law school, Allie spent five years as a special education teacher in Northwest Ohio. She holds a B.S. in Education from Bowling Green State University.

Outside of the office, Allie likes to travel, read, and spend time with her husband, family, friends, and dog, Ralph.
