Ashley oversees compensation and benefits across all of Shumaker's offices, with primary responsibility for compensation strategy, benefits administration, and compliance with applicable regulatory and employment requirements. She is responsible for key elements of partner compensation, including managing contributions to the firm’s Retirement Plan. Ashley also leads the optimization of the firm's human capital management system, ensuring accurate payroll, benefits integration, and data integrity.
Ashley has extensive experience in optimizing processes and enhancing financial and operational frameworks to support Shumaker’s long-term growth and success. Since joining the firm in 2020 as Assistant Controller, she has progressed through roles of increasing responsibility, advancing to Controller in January 2022 and later being elevated to her current position as Director of Compensation & Benefits.

Outside of work, Ashley enjoys spending time with her husband, Nick, and their daughters, Harper and Remi. She is treasurer for the Parent Teacher Association at Stranahan Elementary School and is a dedicated blood donor, proudly working toward her five-gallon milestone.
