Daniel S. Roy

Associate

Daniel's practice is focused on commercial real estate matters, including purchase and sale agreements, leases, and landlord-tenant issues, as well as construction, land use, and zoning matters. He has helped clients buy or sell apartment complexes, nursing homes, hospitals, office buildings, industrial facilities, and more.

Daniel handles all aspects of the purchase and sale of real property, including negotiating purchase agreements reviewing titles, zoning laws, and surveys; drafting closing documents; and generally overseeing the transactional process and timeline. His experience includes:

  • Closing on deals totaling hundreds of millions of dollars
  • Negotiating commercial leases on both the tenant and landlord sides, including shopping center and other retail leases, medical office and hospital leases, industrial leases, and more
  • Reviewing and drafting easements, licenses, rights-of-way, and other covenants that run with real property
  • Preparing condominium and homeowner association documents

Daniel graduated as the valedictorian of his class at The University of Toledo College of Law, where he also worked with the U.S. Attorney's Office, the Toledo Legal Aid Society, and as an extern for Judge Jack Zouhary of the United States District Court, Northern District of Ohio. Daniel enjoys outdoor activities such as skiing, mountain climbing, kayaking, and birdwatching, as well as watching live music and cooking for friends and family.
