A member of Shumaker's Labor & Employment Service Line, Liz represents employers in a wide range of complex employment matters. She brings to the firm extensive knowledge regarding management-side employment matters.
Prior to joining Shumaker, Liz represented employers and insurance carriers in workers' compensation claims at another Tampa-area law firm. She later transitioned to a role as assistant general counsel at a professional employer organization, where she guided hundreds of businesses of all sizes through a multitude of different complex labor and employment issues.
She represents employers in matters involving:
- Workplace harassment
- Discrimination
- Retaliation
- Whistleblower
- Leave of absence
- Wage and hour and related employment claims
She is a graduate of the Stetson University College of Law and holds a B.A. in Political Science, with a minor in Psychology, from the University of Central Florida. In her free time, Liz loves being outdoors, watching live music in downtown St. Petersburg, and spending time with her husband and two sons.
