A member of the Wealth Strategies Service Line, Jack assists clients with estate planning, business succession planning, estate and gift tax related matters, and probate and fiduciary litigation. He also works on matters related to corporate transactions, real estate leasing, and contract review.
Prior to joining Shumaker, Jack worked at another Charlotte-area law firm, where he split his practice between wealth services and general corporate and tax work. Jack has previously worked for clients in the automotive, aviation, and sports industries, giving him special knowledge in these areas. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina School of Law and holds a B.A. from Duke University.
Jack is a member of the North Carolina, South Carolina, and Mecklenburg County Bar Associations.
Outside of the office, he enjoys fly fishing, skiing, backpacking, and watching and playing basketball. Jack also is pursuing his private pilot's license.
