A member of the Wealth Strategies Service Line, Jack focuses his practice on estate planning, transfer tax planning, business succession, and estate and trust administration. Jack emphasizes the values of good financial stewardship for estate plans tailored to his clients' family circumstances, professional interests, and philanthropic goals.
Jack's legal experience includes:
- Drafting sophisticated estate planning documents, including multi-generational revocable trusts, spousal lifetime access trusts, and asset protection trusts
- Preparing federal gift and estate tax returns
- Implementing transfer tax mitigation and charitable giving strategies
After spending five years as a teacher, wrestling coach, and campus minister, Jack's love of learning led him to law school, where he found his vocation as an estate planner, given his passion for family and community. He draws on his classroom experience to help clients understand complicated legal matters and embrace their plans for the future.
Jack is an avid Detroit sports fan and is involved with a number of community organizations, including Central City Ministry of Toledo, Mobile Meals of Toledo, TutorSmart, Knights of Columbus, and St. John's Jesuit. He enjoys making Midwest memories with his wife and three young sons, running and paddling through the Toledo Metroparks, learning traditional Irish music, and putting grill marks on just about anything.
