A Board Certified Specialist in Criminal Trial Law, Joe leverages 20 years of litigation experience to help secure the most favorable outcomes possible for his clients. He most recently served as the Associate Deputy Attorney General for Criminal Justice Programs and Chief of Cyber Fraud Enforcement with the Florida Attorney General's Office.
At the Attorney General's Office, Joe first worked as an Assistant Statewide Prosecutor handling organized crime and complex conspiracies, where he became known as an expert in the fields of electronic surveillance and digital forensics. He is a nationally renowned lecturer in those areas, as well as trial advocacy and litigation skills; he has taught courses for the FBI, the National Computer Forensics Institute, Cellebrite, the National Association of Attorneys General, and the Florida Bar.
Joe previously served as the Director of the 20th Statewide Grand Jury, which was convened in the wake of the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School to investigate school safety issues across Florida. The almost two-year investigation gained national attention for findings related to gross mismanagement by public officials of over $1.5 billion public dollars to address safety and renovation issues in a South Florida school district.
Joe began his career as an Assistant State Attorney in Key West, Florida, where he prosecuted eclectic cases and met his future wife. He is married with two children—he and his wife enjoy comedy shows and musical theatre, when they are not cheering on their kids at sporting events and dramatic performances.
