A member of Shumaker's Health Law Service Line, Kate draws on her deep knowledge of the health care industry to advise clients on a broad range of regulatory and compliance matters, including state scope of practice laws and regulations; federal fraud, waste, and abuse analyses; and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) requirements.
Kate has represented a diverse array of health care clients, from advanced practice registered nurses and physician practices to trade associations, medical spas, and pharmacies. Her practice also includes counseling federally qualified health centers, child welfare providers, recovery home operators, and community behavioral health organizations. No matter what kind of health care her clients provide, Kate stands ready with counsel that empowers them to streamline their operations while remaining compliant with relevant laws and regulations, freeing more time to focus on caring for their patients.
Outside of her legal practice, Kate enjoys running, trying new coffee shops and restaurants, and attending Cleveland sporting and performing arts events.
