Marisa A. Infante

Associate

A member of the Corporate, Tax & Transactions Service Line, Marisa brings a hardworking and detail-oriented approach to counseling clients through the varied legal matters involved in running a business.

Prior to joining Shumaker, Marisa worked in archeology and participated in two excavations: Poggio Colla in Italy and Olynthos in Greece. This work enhanced her creativity and natural curiosity—two traits that translate well into the legal realm.

Marisa earned her J.D. from Stetson University College of Law, where she participated in a number of extracurriculars, internships, and assistantships that enhance her current practice:

  • Shumaker Summer Associate in 2024
  • Summer intern with Magistrate Judge Wilson at the Middle District of Florida
  • Member of the Jessup Moot Court Team
  • Teaching Assistant for Civil Procedure and Research Assistant for the professor who taught that course
  • Associate for Stetson Business Law Review
  • Online Editor for Stetson Law Review

A Tampa native, Marisa attended high school at the Academy of Holy Names. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family (she is the oldest of five children), cheering on the Tampa Bay Lightning, working out, traveling, learning to make sourdough, and hanging out with her French Bulldog, Gibbs.
