Megan is an incisive, strategic litigator whose broad practice spans business disputes, including real property litigation, contract disputes, and antitrust matters. While she is a fierce advocate for her clients in trial, Megan also makes every effort to resolve disputes early through mediation, arbitration, and other forms of alternative dispute resolution.
Prior to joining Shumaker, Megan practiced business litigation at a Miami-area law firm, representing clients in partnership disputes, breach of fiduciary duty, contract disputes, and unfair competition in state and federal courts. From a young age, Megan always held a great respect for the legal profession, and she was driven to become a lawyer by the stories and insights she was exposed to by the many lawyers in her life.
Megan earned her J.D. from The George Washington University Law School and B.S. in Communications from the University of Central Florida. Outside of the office, she enjoys reading novels, attending workout classes, and trying new coffee shops and restaurants.
