Preston A. Whittemore

Associate

As a member of Shumaker's Corporate, Tax & Transactions Service Line, Preston guides clients through transaction and general business tax planning and structuring, with a particular focus on corporate and partnership taxation. Preston's experience includes five years working for a Big Four accounting firm, where he advised a variety of clients, including large, multinational corporations, on pre- and post-transaction tax structuring, restructuring, investments and divestitures, and tax diligence. He is a member of the Florida Bar Tax Section.

During law school, Preston interned for Judge Patricia J. Kelly of Florida's Second District Court of Appeals and Judge Charles R. Wilson of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.

Preston is actively involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, and he enjoys playing golf, fishing, and spending time with his wife, daughters, and dog.
