Rodney L. Eason, Jr.

Chief Human Resources Officer

Rodney is a transformational leader with over 25 years of experience in human capital strategy, talent management, employee engagement, and leadership development. As Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), he plays a strategic role in aligning HR initiatives with business goals to drive performance, growth, and innovation. Rodney leads all aspects of HR strategy and operations, including organizational development, compliance, recruitment and retention, systems optimization, and performance management.

His cross-functional career includes leadership roles at UPS in operations management, safety, training, and HR; Regional HR Manager at Fifth Third Bank; HR Director at The Andersons; and Vice President of Human Resources at Principle Business Enterprises, Inc. He most recently served as Vice President of Talent and Human Resources at Erie Home.

Rodney holds a bachelor's degree in business from the University of Cincinnati and an MBA from Heidelberg University. He is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and is a SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP).

A proud Toledo native, Rodney is deeply committed to his community. He serves on the boards of the Toledo Museum of Art and the Art Tatum Zone and is active with the Rotary Club of Toledo, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., and SHRM. He is a former board member of Leadership Toledo, ProMedica Metro Hospitals, and the Toledo Library Legacy Foundation.

Outside of work, Rodney enjoys spending time with his wife of more than 24 years, Sheila, and their two children, Donavan and Nia. He also enjoys reading, supporting the Ohio State Buckeyes, and giving back to his community.
