Scott A. La Porta

Scott's practice focuses primarily on securities law, restrictive covenants, commercial litigation, and arbitration. With more than 17 years of experience, he is a member of a Shumaker team which represents large financial institutions in securities litigation and violations of contractual covenants. Scott began his legal career as an Assistant Public Defender in Tallahassee, Florida and subsequently represented plaintiffs in cases of nursing home abuse and neglect and other mass torts. He has worked on catastrophic injury cases across the United States.
