As Director of Operations at Shumaker Advisors, Sean is committed to fostering the growth of both the firm and its clients by developing and leading cross-functional initiatives. He serves as a key strategic partner and problem-solver who works to strengthen internal processes that support strategy, decision making, and executive planning, all with the goal of helping Shumaker Advisors better serve its clients.
Sean leverages years of experience in legislative advocacy, political research, and international relations to the benefit of clients and colleagues alike. Prior to joining Shumaker Advisors, he served as the District Office Manager for now-former U.S. Congressman Charlie Crist, where he coordinated with the IRS and federal agencies such as the Social Security Administration to resolve district-wide issues. His government relations experience also includes developing new business engagement strategies for the Florida Council of 100 as part of a summer fellowship and acting as a U.S. Youth Ambassador to the USA Pavillon at the World Expo in Osaka, Japan.
An alumnus of the University of South Florida St. Petersburg, Sean holds a B.S. in Business Management and a Master of Business Administration. He is an active member of his community and has served such organizations as First Contact (formerly known as 211 Tampa Bay Cares), the Clearwater Jazz Holiday Jazz Force, and the St. Petersburg Clearwater International Airport Noise Abatement Task Force, among many others.
In his free time, Sean enjoys riding his bike, spending time with family, and collecting model cars.
