Jaime has extensive experience in complex commercial disputes and multi-party litigation arising from mergers and acquisitions, shareholder disputes, and other corporate control disputes. Jaime also represents national commercial landlords in all facets of their business, from complex contract and land use disputes to evictions and lease enforcement. Clients find value in his trial experience, as well as his ability to identify the driving forces between parties and advocate practical solutions outside the courtroom. He also regularly represents fiduciaries and beneficiaries in significant trust and estate litigation.

Significant Results:

Represented seller pharma manufacturers against a buyer pharma manufacturer in a confidential arbitration arising out of a tax accounting dispute on a $100 million purchase and obtained an award for in excess of $3.2 million, successfully recovering all amounts due to our clients.  (______ Pharmaceuticals, LLC and __________ Holdings, LLC, et al. v. _________ Pharmaceuticals Holdings, LLC.).

On behalf of a multi-billion dollar REIT, successfully obtained a federal court judgment against a national commercial tenant requiring tenant to pay entire accelerated lease amount even though tenant never took possession of the premises as a consequence of a denied use permit. (BRE Mariner Marco Town Center, LLC v. Zoom Tan, Inc., Case No. 16-13042, United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit).

Successfully defended international chemical company against alleged multi-million dollar claims including fraud and breach of warranty. Following a dismissal of the claims against our client, he obtained a federal jury verdict for a complete recovery to our client, including attorney fees and costs. (Wacker Chemical Corporation v. Nebula Glass International, Inc., Case No. 10-cv-62130, United States District Court, Southern District of Florida).

Successfully represented industrial manufacturer in the prosecution of a multi-million dollar subordinated debt obligation in a multi-jurisdictional dispute against an institutional collateral agent and the obligor. (Yellowstone Energy Limited Partnership v. ZBD Constructors, Inc., Case No. 1:12-cv-7846, United States District Court, Southern District of New York) and (ZBD Constructors, Inc. f/k/a Zurn Balcke-Durr, Inc. v. Wells Fargo Bank, N.A., Case No. 8:12-cv-1722, United States District Court, Middle District of Florida).

Successfully tried and defended series of title policy claims worth over $3.6 million against several major banks arising out of the fraudulent 4 Solutions foreclosure prevention program. Secured clear title in 100 percent of cases and carrier's payments in handful of settlements were less than $30,000 combined.

Successfully defended cooling tower manufacturer against wrongful death claim arising from collapsed stair tower. (Sanderson, et al. v. SPX Cooling Technologies, Inc., et al, Case No. 2:07-cv-828, United States District Court, Middle District of Florida).
